Otak is looking for qualified PMO, Lean and IPD professionals that are eager to take on new challenges for an exciting project-based opportunity. We are seeking high-performing, driven individuals that are interested in joining Otak for large-scale, program/portfolio/project management work. The ability to travel to other locations in the Mid-West is desirable. There’s also potential for work on an international scale.

About the Job:
Otak is looking for a highly skilled PMO Cost Manager to join our team in Michigan. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, highly organized, and a creative problem solver. They must also have the ability to communicate collaboratively and effectively, be experienced with leading a team and be adaptable to ever-evolving project needs. Knowledge of design, construction and engineering terminology and processes is required. Knowledge of large scale manufacturing environments and/or mega projects is preferred.

Position Summary:
This role involves program/portfolio/project management and oversight of budget, schedule and contract administration. You may be required to jump into the details to help with troubleshooting a design or construction issue. The challenges will vary and the job will never be dull. Work may include integrated cost status for the client's anticipatory financial planning, analysis of a time impact, or looking at value engineering options to help reduce cost. Work may involve risk reviews and mitigation, or detailed report out of changes and claims with a program/project. Korean language fluency is a preferred qualification.

Scope of Management:
PMO Cost Manager is establishing, developing, and implementing the overall project procedures including, but not limited to the following items

  • Overall cost management, reporting and communication of the program/project budget, trends and changes
  • Preliminary review of program/project cost and schedule risk factors and suggestions/reports for improvement/mitigation.
  • Establish cost control and contract administration procedures with a detailed workflow for the project stakeholders.
  • Manage overall design and construction budget and execution status to identify any impact within the program/project
  • Support the Client and PMO Director for tender process of Contractors and Consultant teams
  • Prepare periodic and non-periodic reports with dashboard in conjunction with project coordinator with regards to commercial progress and issues.
