Job Summary:

American Insulated Glass is a leading glass fabricator and wholesale distributor, specializing in providing high-quality insulated, laminated, tempered, fire-rated, and beveled glass products to glazing contractors and window manufacturers. Dedicated to serving both commercial and residential end markets, AIG also distributes a full line of float glass, mirror, and decoration glass solutions.

We are seeking a hard-working, reliable, and punctual warehouse associate to join our growing operation. We prize speed and accuracy above all else, so we require a warehouse associate who can pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions precisely and double-check his or her work before completing a task.

Key responsibilities & duties:

· Maintain a safety-first work environment, utilizing proactive safety and ensuring all associates adhere to personal protective gear requirements and standard operating procedures.

· Operate an overhead Crane.

· Maintain Glass Storage area.

· Monitor Glass Inventory.

· Perform Weekly Glass Counts.

· Unload Glass Trucks

· Operate a Forklift to empty glass hoppers

· Support the glass cutting team

· Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using other equipment throughout the warehouse as directed by management.

· Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.

· Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

· Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Require Skills/ Abilities:

· Knowledge of and ability to follow all health, and safety, quality, and labor standards applying to his /her area of responsibility.

· Must have the ability to work cooperatively within a team environment

· Able to read a tape measure and match the correct label with the correct lite of glass.

· Ability to driver a forklift or learn to drive a forklift

· Ability to operate the overhead crane in a safe manner

Education & Experience:

· Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing preferred

· High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift 70 pounds at times.

· Must be able to work in a noisy environment.

· Must be able to work in hot or cold temperatures.

· Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, stand, sit, lift, push, and pull repetitively and/or throughout the duration of the shift.

· Steel toe boots required (not company provided).
