Overview:

The credentialing assistant will organize, maintain, and verify all aspects of the process, and maintain current practitioners' files. They track the expiration of certifications to maintain up-to-date files and assist health plan providers and customers with phone inquiries.

Responsibilities:
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include any and/or all of the following:
  • Making phone calls
  • Photocopying, scanning, faxing, and emails
  • Responds to written inquiries through correspondence and/or email
  • Preparing and sending outgoing mailings and packages
  • Update and maintain expirable documents
  • Updating and maintaining databases
  • Maintain neat and accurate records utilizing Verity software
Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Office
  • Proficient in use of email and internet
  • Accurate keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completes annual Compliance and HIPAA exam
