Silicon Valley Medical Development is currently seeking a talented Credentialing Coordinator to join our growing team!

Pay: $23.00/hr - $27.00/hr (DOE)

Location: This is an on-site position based of out our corporate office in Los Gatos, CA.

Shift: 8am - 5pm

Job Summary:

The Credentialing Coordinator (CC) is responsible for assisting with coordinating, monitoring and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing process for providers to obtain memberships in accordance with applicable organizational policies and procedures. The CC will prepare credentialed files; for completion and presentation, and ensures file completion. The CC will maintain the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing database system by updating credential renewals and keeping the providers’ files current.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for timely entry, processing and tracking of credentialing provider files.
• Works closely with Provider Services to ensure the credentialing application process is efficient and meets established turnaround times.
  • Follow up with Providers on outstanding credentialing information, including responding to credentialing emails
  • Uploads renewal into database
  • Takes minutes at credentialing committee meeting
  • Initial preparation of provider rosters
  • Sends out initial applications to providers
  • Sends out reminders about missing credentialing information
  • Assists with the completion of CAQH profile for the providers
  • Maintains provider confidentiality at all times and maintains effective communication and professional interactions with providers.
• Adheres to HR, safety, HIPAA and compliance policies, and attendance requirements & performs work in accordance with, policies & procedures
• Serves as back up to the Credentialing and Provider Enrollment Specialist
• Responsible for other administrative functions within the credentialing and providers services team and performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Two years of college preferred or equivalent work experience in a managed care environment (i.e., IPA or Health Plan)
• Previous experience with credentialing software, preferably MDStaff
• Experience working in healthcare credentialing and/or payer enrollment
