SUMMARY

To compile offender’s responses on automated form in order to make recommendations for offender to attend classes and further Drug and Alcohol Assessment. Also, this position assists the Administrative Assistant with office support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Evaluator is responsible for gathering information on each offender. The information gathered will be maintained on PennDOT’s automated system as well as the offender’s file. The evaluation will include recommendations for further education and/or assessment;
  • The Evaluator is responsible for properly explaining results of evaluation;
  • The Evaluator is responsible for office support;
  • The Evaluator will be answering phones and updating offender’s file to reflect the process through the system;
  • The Evaluator will complete any other office tasks that are required of them and collect revenue from offenders when needed;
  • The CRN Evaluator will frequently come in contact with other county personnel, government agencies, vendors, or the public (offenders). The tasks should be completed in a professional manner in order to represent agency in a positive way;
  • The CRN Evaluator is required to complete a minimum of 12 credit hours. Credit hours are over a two year period.

  • Must have a High School Diploma, Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years experience in office work and the ability to communicate effectively;
  • Must attain certification as a CRN Evaluator;
  • Knowledge of Criminal Justice System;
  • Knowledge of Automated System;
  • Communication Skills;
  • Organizational Skills;
  • Typing Skills;
  • Knowledge of Policy/Procedure;
  • Record Keeping Skills;
  • Personal Safety Skills.
