UR Medicine | Noyes Health in Dansville seeks full-time NYS-licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthestist to work with CRNA group, anesthesiologists and general surgeons in a regional community hospital environment.
Candidates will join a team dedicated to providing the highest level of care for patients and their families. UR Medicine | Noyes Health’s Noyes Memorial Hospital is a 67-bed facility with a state-of-the art in- and out-patient surgical center, obstetric service and Emergency Department; along with an off-site out-patient surgical center. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluation of the patient to include review of the patient's medical and anesthesia history and discussion of anesthetic options and techniques.
- Safe induction and maintenance of anesthesia/analgesia and management of pain relief. Candidate should be comfortable working independently with minimal anesthesiologist supervision.
- Monitor patient in the peri-anesthetic period.
- Perform supportive life functions, including endotracheal intubation, management of blood, fluid, and electrolyte loss and replacement; monitoring of and maintenance of cardiovascular and respiratory functions; attends to other appropriate needs of patient as the situation arises.
Additional acts which the supervising CRNA and the CRNA agree are within his/her skills which are appropriate to his/her specialty.
Caseload: bread-and-butter cases including obstetrics
Call responsibilities: 1 in 7
REQUIREMENTS:
A graduate of an approved program of nurse anesthesia accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs/Schools or its predecessor.
Evidence of individual competency by passing a qualifying examination which confers eligibility for certification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor.
