Overview:

The primary function of the Groups Department is the creation, maintenance, and auditing of reservations in the group environment. The Groups Department works closely with both sales agents and the customer service department and acts as the bridge between them and the cruise lines for the majority or CruCon’s reservations.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Adding FIT reservations to the group environment.
  • Performing all changes to reservations, including dining and upgrades.
  • Auditing reservations to ensure accuracy of the final product to create a seamless cruise experience for our guests and to guarantee proper group accounting.
  • Making sure that all promotions and amenities are delivered to our guests.
  • Using cruise lien promotions to maximize profit to CruCon.
Qualifications:

General
  • Must be highly organized, have strong attention to detail, and excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Must have strong math skills and an understanding on how to maximize profit on all bookings.
  • Strong working knowledge of RCCL and CEL (NCL is a plus).
  • Excellent, professional verbal communication skills when dealing with the cruise lines.
  • Must be able to balance multiple priorities over a period of time while bringing all to completion within deadlines.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions, maintain a professional demeanor and restraint at all times, including stressful situations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some holidays.
  • Ability to function in a past-faced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines.
Physical:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Typing and handwriting included in position duties. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies. Specific vision abilities include the ability to read computer monitor, files, and other documents as needed
