RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Director/ResidentDistrict Manager in the operating a first-class dining establishment by implementing Whitsons' high standard in all facets of the operation, and in compliance with HHFKA guideline.
  • Ensure that food is in compliance with thestandards set by the DOH and in accordance to the expectations of the BOE in the Consolidated School District of New Britain.
  • Supervise all employees who work in the kitchen on-site.

Discipline in accordance to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook and the union contract. .

  • Conduct/ supervises the cook for all exhibition
  • Create fresh, colorful, eye-appealing presentations daily for each station to encourage
  • Determine time and sequence of cooking operations to meet meal serving

deadlines (e.g., breakfast and lunch).

  • Delegates applicable food preparation responsibilities to cooksand food service
  • Control all expense categories such as food cost, labor costs and operating

expenses, while simultaneously providing for excellent customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrate leadership by promoting a supportive and positive work

environment.

  • Create harmonious working relationships with staff and clients demonstrating consistent and equitable treatment of workers.
  • Maintain food costs at budgeted levels, and supervise this in the entire

district.

  • Design, set up, implement, and post an effective cleaning schedule for the location that encompasses all facets of the operation, making sure that all duties are properly ass Follow-up with employees in this area.

  • Must complete all Whitsons and government required training as necessary.
Requirements:
  • College degree preferred
  • 5 years of management experience required.
  • Must have Serv Safe certified, and have safety and customer training class certifications.
  • Must attend all company sponsored trainings.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have positive attitude and willingness to learn.
