The Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park seeks a Custodial Supervisor temporary full-time position through approximately February of 2023.

Reporting to the Facilities Director, the supervisor is responsible for overseeing all of the custodial functions of the Globe facilities. The position directly supervises all custodial staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, managing. The Custodial Supervisor will work alongside custodian staff to ensure the cleanliness of the all Globe office spaces, work areas, rehearsal and event spaces, and outdoor spaces, including the Globe three theatres, Technical Center, and other Globe facilities, and also fill-in as required.

Experience as a supervisor in cleaning services or maintenance, and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend work required.

Must be able to pass a background check and have valid California Driver’s License and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and access and anti-racism work in the theatre.

As of October 1, 2021, employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption would apply.

The salary for this position is $62,400 through the end of 2022, and $64,480 as of January 1, 2023. This position is classified as exempt.
