The Security Services Custody Operations Middle Office Department is responsible for ensuring all aspects of operations for clients are completed, transactions are processed on time, exceptions are resolved proactively; provide single point of contact team and subject matter expertise to the clients. Middle Office covers trade instruction capture, settlement; fail management, cash instruction capture, projections, overdrafts, asset servicing instruction capture, dividends, foreign exchange, collateral, derivatives lifecycle management and bank loans.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Provide excellent client service and support to internal and external clients on a daily basis and support clients in addressing operational issues across transactional life cycle events.
  • Monitor internal and external client inquiries, resolve non-routine issues and closely partner with internal teams such as trade & cash processing, settlements, cash management, account opening, and asset servicing operations to process transactions and resolve any exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Perform root cause analysis for their respective clients to increase straight through processing
  • Establish and maintain relationships with operations & middle office contacts at clients.
  • Work as part of the global team with follow the sun global coverage for clients.
  • Partner with technology teams to help identify product development, product enhancements, technology improvement opportunities, and system testing to ensure products continue to operate effectively and accurately
  • Collaborate with Client Service Teams for service reviews to ensure client expectations and concerns are managed, with focus on delivering unparalleled client experience.
  • Ensure all day to day queries are addressed within required service level agreements and escalate issues to the team leader.
  • Provide operations subject matter expertise and value added services to clients where required.
  • Strong time management skills required to meet the internal and external deadlines/cutoffs.

Qualifications
  • Strong business knowledge is preferred/Added advantage of Global Custody/Prime Brokerage.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, trade lifecycle, and settlement practices is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization
  • Operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and can exhibit time management skills
  • MS office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Prior custody operation services, markets or prime brokerage operational experience along with supervisory functions is preferred
  • Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels

  • Experience of working on large scale, multi-stream programs
  • Strategic thinking coupled with practical execution
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls

Preferred Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience
