Summary/Objective

The Customer Logistics Associate is a resourceful, innovative, and committed. They are a team player who believes in Zevia’s mission and products. They have a particular interest in being front-facing to Zevia’s customers while coordinating with in-house sales teams to promote accurate, timely and efficient processing and fulfilment of orders for customers.

Team player who is very attentive to details, meticulous, loves to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and are a multi-tasker who’s able to pivot and change as needed, without losing sight of the overall goal. Able to build and maintain internal and external relationships that drive customer satisfaction through superior service and execution.

Under the direction of the Manager, Customer Logistics, one will ensure cost-effective delivery against fill rate and on-time performance metrics for your assigned Customer accounts. The Customer Logistics Associate will perform as a key contributor in cross-collaborative efforts internally to communicate, establish, and improve processes to best meet customer requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities or, in the case of shortages, to minimize negative service or cost impacts.
  • Import orders coming from customer via email or EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) into NetSuite, confirming items, price, quantities, and due dates.
  • Ensure all customer shipping requirements are met – including communicating pallet/case label requirements and ASN (advanced shipment notices) to the shippers.
  • In partnership with the transportation team, confirm ship date on open orders correspond to the carrier pick up date.
  • In partnership with Manager, Warehousing, establish and maintain relationships with relevant 3PL providers.
  • Review all orders and Bills of Ladings (BOL) to ensure accuracy and inventory availability before sending to the shipper.
  • Obtain in-depth knowledge of Zevia’s product portfolio – including SKU descriptions and pack sizes.
  • Protect and control proprietary materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Knowledge Of:

  • Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Customer requirements and maintaining processes to ensure compliance, including Customer Shipping Guidelines (CSG).
  • Order fill rates and other established Key Performance Indicators.
  • Monthly forecasts for assigned customers with an understanding of ordering patterns.
  • Transportation Management System (TMS) concepts and order execution.
  • Inventory methods and practices.
  • Ability To:
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing both internally and externally.
  • Problem solve – crafting solutions that cost-effectively exceed customer expectations.
  • Analyze and interpret data.
  • Manage and track metrics related to order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
  • Work independently with little direction, self-starter.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have direct reports.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours and must work 40 hours each week. On rare occasion, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Under normal operations, this position requires 0-10% travel to support Zevia Company needs.
