Responsibilities
Evaluate, investigate and resolve customer Quality concerns promptly and effectively.
Develop, submit and track requests for Customer deviations/waivers stemming from nonconforming material.
Lead corrective action/preventive action processes to ensure that identified causes are addressed. Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure systems are improved to prevent recurrence.
Perform compliance audits to customer requirements as defined on customer’s P.O. Document audit results and coordinate required corrective actions.
Perform quality reviews and achieve customer quality expectations. Coordinate source inspection for government-related work.
Lead the site NDT program and compliance.
Train new and existing employees on Quality processes and requirements.
Lead and mentor teams in continuous improvement activites, including problem solving and root cause analysis.
Support Supplier qualification and issue resolution.
Ensure compliance with internal Quality requirements.
Document, track and report Quality company data.
Advocate for work safety, and EHS activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum requirement is an Associate degree in Quality Assurance. A Bachelor of Science in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or related engineering field (Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing) is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of cross functional experience in Quality Assurance and Operations in a high precision manufacturing settingis required.
Formal Lean and 6-Sigma Black Belt (or other advanced problem-solving method) certifications with demonstrated utilization of the methodologies is preferred.
Solid understanding of QMS processes and audits, ISO 9001, proficiency in process crontrol tools (SPC, Process Capability, DOE, etc.) and APQP experience is required.
Proficient in Access/Excel as well as database data extraction and analytics is required.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting with proven ability to facilitate teams and lead improvement projects.
A positive attitude, problem solving skills and strong team collaboration skills are required.
Excellent communication (verbal, written, and aural) skills required.
Limited travel required: up to 10%.
US Citizenship or lawful permanent resident of the US is required.
Salary starts at $70,000 annually.
