Job description
HRMP, a Jencap company, is a third-party administrator for risk takers and is uniquely positioned to offer business solutions to carriers, reinsurers, and underwriters. Founded in 1990, HRMP offers services to group insurance carriers in partnership with "A" rated carriers.
The Life Insurance Customer Service Associate works with paper and electronic information from potential convertees and/or their employers
- Maintains paper and electronic files including RFIs, phone logs, group listings, and more
- Confirms accuracy and/or documents errors and makes corrections to RFIs
- Data enters specific information into system (LMS)
- Corresponds with potential convertee and his/her employer, group carrier and broker
- Renders decision regarding potential convertees' eligibility for conversion, subject to peer review
- Reviews, as a peer reviewer, decisions made by other specialists regarding potential convertees' eligibility for conversion
- Confirms accuracy of applications including the application and check. If inaccurate, communicates changes needed to life conversion applicant
- Prepares and sends application package to group carrier
- Obtains group carrier sign off and submits to client for issuing a conversion policy
- Records conversion policy numbers in LMS
- Completes/updates appropriate forms and logs
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Documentation skills, data entry skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, client focused.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Must be able to multi-task, work well independently or in a team environment.
