Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Global Grain & Processing Division. We are looking for a Customer Service Representative at our Inver Grove Heights office to manage all aspects of creating an excellent customer service experience. You must be detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong analytical and customer service skills, and the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks is essential. This position is hybrid, working from home and in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers (internal and external), including answering and responding to calls and emails in a timely manner.
  • Perform outgoing calls to customers for validation purposes and conscientiously protecting data privacy.
  • Educate and promote existing and new online resources and services to our customers.
  • Create, update, and maintain account details in ERP systems with attention to detail, processes, and procedures.
  • Apply LEAN or continuous improvement methodology to analyze current state processes
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • 1+ years of experience in Customer Service and Support to include:

o Ability to work well in a team environment; develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers

o Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload

o Capacity to think and solve problems independently within a changing environment while being customer focused and building solid relationships

o Strong interpersonal and business communication skills, both written and verbal

o Ability to manage time effectively, make decisions and work independently within a team atmosphere

o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Outlook, OneNote, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience monitoring and responding to metrics, resulting in a path of continual improvement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Power BI or similar advanced reporting tools
  • SAP or other ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems experience
  • Agriculture and/or Energy industry experience
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
