Department Summary
The Facilities organization at UNT is a service provider comprised of the following divisions: Facilities Planning Design & Construction (PDC); Facilities Maintenance (FM) and Facilities Support & Services (FSS). We are responsible for the planning, renovation, maintenance and repair of university buildings and facilities, as well as other services playing an essential role to the mission of the University of North Texas. Facilities has over 325 employees who lead the way in caring for and operating over 175 facilities across 960 acres of property. Position Overview
The Facilities Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Data Analyst to join our Personnel team.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
  • Assists in the operation of the Personnel office, establishing some work assignments and protocols for customer service and coordinates special assignments and projects.

  • Oversees the employment process for benefits eligible employees in the Facilities Department. Assists in the employment process for part time employees, student & non- student hourly workers.

  • Create, generate, and manage reports for accuracy in timekeeping, compensatory time, and payroll.

  • Monitors timesheets and exceptions within EIS in consultation with department staff.

  • Conducts studies and prepares reports using EIS queries and other tools.

  • Assists in conducting formal and informal training with all departmental employees regarding use of timesheets, eLeave, UPO15, hiring, and other processes, systems, and procedures.

  • Ability to speak to large groups and conduct presentations.

  • Understanding of relational database concepts and the relationship between databases and applications, or the ability to rapidly assimilate.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong mathematical and technical ability.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Access and Excel.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate to specific software.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate how data sets impact related systems and functions

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
  • Experience using all areas of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including various functions and formulas.

  • Exceptional customer service experience.


Required License / Registration / Certification
Possession of a valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment; ability to drive a vehicle and maintain coverage under university liability insurance policy, if required to drive University vehicles.

o
Coordinates operations of the Personnel office, establishing and assigning work assignments, evaluating subordinates work, and protocols for customer service.
