AES Clean Energy (CE) is currently seeking a Data Editing Specialist to ensure daily, weekly and monthly data editing and reporting for various sites. The goal of this position is to ensure accurate data, superior customer service, regulatory compliance, high productivity and industry leading efficiency for AES’ wind and BESS generation assets. The Data Editing Specialist will work closely with and support Palm Springs Control Center personnel.
AES CE, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation, specializes in developing, owning, and operating utility scale PV solar projects, distributed generation PV solar projects, PV solar projects combined with battery energy storage systems (BESS), stand-alone battery energy storage projects and wind generation projects. The successful candidate will ideally have a depth of experience in renewable assets, working with operations personnel especially remote operations and control center operators and have demonstrated ability to work well with strong teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring data accuracy and data availability in all monitoring, ticketing and analysis tools and systems
- Edits, tracks and reports fault and production data necessary for accurate and reliable KPI tracking for wind sites
- Compiles and distributes commercial reports and invoices to customers and offtakers
- Compiles Monthly Operating Reports for treasury analysis and site personnel
- Develop and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory and government reporting (EQR, FERC, EIA) for wind and BESS assets.
- Ensure that the team demonstrates a culture of compliance with all regulating authorities
- Ensures good communication between all customers and partners
Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional experience in data reporting and compliance
- Expertise in data editing and processing, with a keen eye for seeing and developing processes to detect bad data
- Professional experience with data analysis of renewable assets (wind, solar, battery)
- Experience with monitoring (HMI), ticketing (CMMS), and analysis (Excel/Power BI) tools and systems.
- Familiarity with DAS and SCADA systems a plus
- Experience creating, editing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Experience & familiarity with utilities and ISO requirements
- Ability to establish trust through building relationships and demonstration of capabilities.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills, including an ability to maintain calm and effective exchanges in all situations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High degree of commitment to a quality safety culture and an incident-free work environment

Additional Requirements/Details:
- Willingness to work extended and variable hours at times
The expected salary for this position begins at $55,000. Factors that may be used to determine final salary offered include relevant experience, skills, location, qualifications and other factors, consistent with applicable law. This position is eligible to receive an annual bonus. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including market competitive Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, market leading 401(K), and generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and parental leave.
