Technical/Functional Skills
BET+ is seeking a CRM Technical Operations Manager to join their Lifecycle Marketing (LCM) team; to support the technical implementation and execution of BET+’s lifecycle marketing operations. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating and connecting data points to run automated campaigns across multiple communications channels, including but not limited to; email, in-app messaging, push messaging, paid media, and other channels as needed. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, an entrepreneurial spirit, along with a sense of ownership over the end-to-end subscriber journey, which will be essential to delivering breakthrough thinking to drive growth for BET+.
Experience Required
- Experience with database design, development, and maintenance in a Cloud environment
- Experience with data warehousing and multidimensional data models
- Experience with data migration projects
- Experience with designing high-performing reporting/analytical schemas
- Experience in data structures, algorithms, and strong programming skills in Python or Java
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable infrastructure and platform to ingest, store and process substantial amounts of education data (structured, semi-structured and unstructured), including streaming and real-time into a cloud-based infrastructure.
- Provides key input on schema design for future reporting/analytical considerations
- Provides support to development teams with database needs for new features/products
- Mentors engineering team members around modern database engineering principles and leads by example by developing optimal data pipelines, integrations and structures
- Build best-in-class ETL/ELT base solutions for effective data ingestion, transformation, and best-in-class data pipelines, model deployment, and model monitoring. This includes end-to-end data orchestration, data layering, data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging.
- Work directly with external clients and vendors to implement new features, products and integrations.
- Follows software engineering standards and best practices such as code reviews and SDLC
- Be an expert in all aspects revolving around data including data wrangling, aggregation, summarization, and analysis
Generic Managerial Skills
- Experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
- Data warehousing experience (Preferably Snowflake)
- Experience with Machine Learning, AI or Predictive Analytics experience
- Experience with SQL optimization
- Experience with PySpark
