Job Title: Records Management Associate
Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6+ months

Shift: Mon- Fri 8:30 am to 5 pm

Skills:

  • Must be able to clearly speak, read and write English.
  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable in computer operation in a Windows based environment.
  • Must be detail oriented and keep a high degree of focus even when performing routine tasks.
  • Practical experience working in a cGMP regulated environment preferred.
  • Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals.
  • Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups.

  • Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.

Occupational Demands:

  • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Occasionally walks.
  • Occasionally bends and twists neck.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs.
  • Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States.

Duties:

  • Primarily responsible for the organization and permanent archiving of the laboratories' records and ensuring timely, accurate reporting of laboratory test results.
  • Maintain organization and classification of archival records per standard operating procedure to ensure future retrieval.
  • File documentation and records per established procedures and archive associated test results and documentation.
  • Accurately complete documentation as required by established procedures.
  • Monitors, coordinates, and facilitates off-site storage of laboratory records when necessary.
  • Retrieve laboratory records for internal and external audits.
  • Responsible for collection and organization of electronic records from laboratory instrumentation per standard operating procedure.
  • Responsible for collecting and ensuring records are retained for specified time periods.
  • Assist in processing and investigating customer inquiries.
  • Perform required donor deferral entries into the National Donor Deferral Registry.
  • Report manual test results to laboratory customers as necessary.
  • Enter and report positive and confirmatory test results.
  • Effectively communicate and escalate quality issues to Quality Management as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $17.00 per hour
