SUMMARY

Operate computer and peripheral equipment to process data by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Verify integrity of data, ensuring that all data is complete and correct based upon documentation.

Utilize variety of software packages to prepare, process and document test and production jobs.

Create and maintain documentation for production procedures and processes. Create, verify, print, collate and distribute all necessary documentation associated with the production job in accordance with procedures.

Monitor job processes for error messages in program execution. Notify programmer, supervisor or manager (as appropriate) of errors.

Research and record problems which occurred, such as down time, and actions taken.

Monitor FTP and email, downloading customer data files when they arrive.

Catalog, track and maintain data files and physical media.

Perform system maintenance tasks such as file saves and back-ups in accordance with operational schedule and procedures.

Operate a variety of computer peripheral equipment such as printers.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the skill and/or ability required.

Understanding of personal computer operation utilizing MS Windows operating system.

Ability to navigate Windows directory structure and follow basic file maintenance procedures.

Ability to perform basic DOS commands.

Basic math skills.

Good written communication skills and ability to clearly explain any operating problems or difficulties.

Attention to detail.

Typing skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
