This position is an operational resource for ESD Leadership, Communications Office, Policy & Legislation and other ESD divisions. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong quantitative skills, and experience working with large, complex data sets. This position provides specialized expertise on key Unemployment Insurance (UI) Department of Labor requirements for the UI program, including collecting, analyzing, and reporting of Data Validation activities and division’s performance on Benefit Timeliness and Quality standards, UI extensions (EUC and EB) and Federal Additional Compensation (FAC). This position supports ESD’s mission to help Washington’s workers and employers succeed in the global economy by delivering timely unemployment benefits and a fair and stable unemployment insurance system.

Lead the DATA Division’s effort as part of the cross-agency Report Validation Project tasked with passing all Data Validation Populations as defined by ETA within USDOL.
Produce standard periodic statistical and operational reports, documentation, data validation extracts, and web pages.
Systems of record process improvement facilitator, troubleshooter, and problem solver.

Four years of experience in a combination of the following:
- Data analysis and/or data validation
- Analyzing and reporting on performance measure data
- Building data visualizations using business intelligence tools
- Data extraction technologies (SQL, scripting, spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools, standards-based connectivity options, unstructured data extraction tools)
OR
A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, economics, statistics, computer science, data science, or closely related field.
