This is a full-time, long-term, temporary assignment.
Job Summary: Responsible for creating a rolling 12-months demand plan for finished product based on prior history of shipments, trend, and Customer and Commercial Team data. Analyze sales trends to adjust forecasts as needed. Ensure changes in trends are communicate appropriately and effectively to all cross functional teams. Work with all areas of the Supply Chain and Commercial Team to ensure customers’ demands are supported, while understanding impact to Inventory.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Use current and historical shipment information, current trend, current customer, and commercial team data to develop and adjust a demand plan for our finished products 12 months plus. (Active Items).
  • Collaborate with Sales Team to develop and validate forecasts for New Wins and finished products 12 months and younger. (New Wins and Business to Win)
  • Communicate New Wins or Potential New Wins to the Strategic Purchasing Team to procure Raw Materials. Work to understand risk. Communicate concerns to the Commercial Team and work with Demand Manager to mitigate risk as needed.
  • Maintain data for all finished product, new wins, and transitions.
  • Work with Production Planners and the Buying team to communicate changes in the forecast.
  • Communicate with Order Management regarding new wins or potential increases in customer’s demand.
  • Build relationships with the Commercial Teams and Customers to support the business and changes to the assortment.
  • Prepare, Present and Participate in monthly S&OP meetings
  • Work with the Demand Manager to Prepare and Analysis the Budget for the next year, participate in meetings as needed.
  • Provide monthly reports on forecast accuracy and analysis of key accounts and as well support Accuracy KPIS.
  • On the spot problem solving with all account issues.
  • Develop and recommend improvements to current operating procedures.
  • Special projects and ad hoc analysis.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required Business/Fashion Merchandising/Supply Chain related field APICS certifications preferred
  • Minimum 3 Years’ experience in Demand Retail or Demand manufacturing planning
  • Experience in forecasting, analysis of trend and prior history as well as inventory impact
  • Thorough working knowledge of Excel required
  • Knowledge of SAP functions is a plus
  • Strong communication skills written and oral
  • Knowledge of prior planning systems.
  • Strong Computer skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, SAP.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Strong Understanding of Trend, Market Influences and Forecasting Methods
  • Strong Understanding in the relationship between Forecast and Inventory
