Advanced Dental Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The duties of a dental assistant are among the most comprehensive and varied in the dental office. The dental assistant would be expected to perform many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills.

Some of those duties are including but not limited to:

-Assisting the dentist during a various treatment procedures.

-Checking that the patient's records are up to date.

-Taking and digital dental XRAYS and photos.

-Reviewing treatment alternatives and reviewing payment options.

-Updating medical information, taking blood pressue/pulse and if there have been significant health changes.

-Serving in the office infection control and safety protocols.

-Helping make all patients feel comfortable prior to their procedures, during and after dental care.

-Providing patients with pre/post operative instructions and helping deliver oral hygiene instructions.

-Taking diagnostic information, such as impressions, CT Scans, bite records and digital impression scans.

-Creating prescriptions for lab work and transfer of patient information for needed lab restoration.

-Maintaining safe work environments by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

-Documenting and charting patients treatment effectively for accurate record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

COVID-19 considerations:
Advanced PPE, Fogging and disinfecting protocols, air filtration, and advanced suction devices.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Dental Assisting: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred)
• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
