Dental Assistant II

Kintegra Health is a community sponsored, family-centered provider of health care, health education, and preventative care services without regard for the ability to pay.


** We currently serve 10 counties in North Carolina and have positions available in multiple locations near you! **

Summary of Position: A Dental Assistant II must be able to perform all the minimum qualifications of the DA II job descriptions. The role of the DA II is a nonexempt position responsible for performing a variety of duties related to dental patient care directed by dental providers.

Experience: Minimum one year of experience preferred.

Education: One academic year or longer in an ADA-accredited dental program. DA II certification.

Licensure: Coronal polishing highly preferred, radiographic certification, nitrous oxide sedation a plus.

Certifications: BLS/OSHA/HIPAA

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proper instrument set-up prior to appointment
  • Prepare patients for examinations
  • Take and develop X-rays properly (radiographs)
  • Mix, prepare, and/or provide all materials and instruments requested by the provider
  • Assist provider during examinations/procedures
  • Update/maintain patient dental records accurately in the electronic dental record (EDR)
  • Compliance with all OSHA/HIPAA/PPE regulations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Able to read and understand the English language
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work with multiple changing priorities
  • Requires excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality
