The Deputy Division Director of Residential Programs is responsible for the administration and management of Community Teamwork’s homeless shelter and rapid rehousing programming. This encompasses the organizations EA Family Shelter portfolio and rental assistances supportive services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support and oversight of homeless shelters, emergency, preventive and supportive programs, including the HomeBASE program.
  • Provide supervision of staff including recruitment, supervision, evaluation and leadership as well as the coordination of staff training and development activities.
  • Oversee the ongoing development of social services, self-sufficiency components, including case management activities.
  • Participate in community partnerships and linkage development.
  • Ensure program compliance with funding source policies, regulations, goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the development of overall program services, budgets and procedures.
  • Implement, monitor and enhance procedures for maintenance of appropriate documentation, internal and external referrals for services.
  • Assist the Division Director, as needed, in the preparation of grant requests, the development of initiatives and programs, and preparation of required materials and reports.
  • Participate in local, state and federal policy planning as directed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in non-profit administration, in Human Services, with supervisory or management experience and oversight for residential services required. 3 years previous supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to motivate, organize and convene people and groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality within the workplace
  • Strong proven leadership and decision making abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle budgetary matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and work with complex governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively supervise, motivate and develop staff.
  • Ability to articulate program goals and policies to participants, other community agencies, and vendors.
  • Experience in program planning and administration.
  • Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection systems.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of the participant population.
  • Good working knowledge of community resources available to low-income individuals and families.
  • Must be able to pass CORI background check
  • Must show evidence of Covid-19 immunization or a requested and approved medical or religious exemption upon hire.
  • Excellent crisis management skills.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/Khmer) a plus.
