Department Overview:

Enterprise Infrastructure Services are responsible for delivery and architecture of Nomura's Core IT Infrastructure. Encompassing Cloud and Digital Technology, Systems Monitoring, Orchestration and Automation as well as more traditional enterprise IT Platforms (Storage, Servers, Virtualization, Networks & Database). EIS offer technology services that underpin the banks application landscape, and provide front to back end user services that operate across technology and business disciplines. Offering an ever broader range of career options, EIS provide not only technology pathways in development, product engineering or technical support, but provide consultative services that form delivery of solutions within the bank spanning Business Analysis, Project Management and Governance.

Team Overview:

Digital Workspace Team is responsbile for client facing technologies used across Wholesale with close collaboration with the other Group companies. The team supports US based trading, investment banking and back office users with similar peer teams based in London, India, and Japan.

Role / Principal Accountabilities:

The Desktop Services role in the US differs from the other regions as it is not just limited to desktop technologies. A qualified candidate will also be trained in Mobile Technologies, Cisco Voice Products and Horizon VDI Technologies. This candidate should have a background in the Financial Industry supporting trading applications and technolgies. Candidate must be well manared, have excellent verbal and writing skills to interact with all levels of management including Senior Managers, Board Members, as well as clients and vendors for application troubleshooting.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Familiar with PXE Build process
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows 10 and MS Office problems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP
  • Hardware: HP laptops, desktops and workstations as well docking stations. Monitors, printers, iPhones and MACs.
  • Proficient with Excel and the use of Macros
  • Troubleshoot WebEx, Zoom and MS Teams as well as peripheral integration such as speakers and cameras over multiple platforms and hardware
  • Have worked with Mobile Iron or similar platform
  • Familiar with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow
  • Reasonable understanding of Risk Management, Change Control and Incident Management and participation

Skills & Experience Desirable:

  • Project management skills. Ability to manage and delegate presented projects
  • Working knowledge of Digital Client Technologies such as VMWare, VDI and Citrix
  • Scripting ability using PowerShell or similar to create tasks thru automation

Personal Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of supporting production environments
  • Demonstrate an ability to work well as part of a team, and on their own when required.
  • Good Interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm and proven rapid learning capability
  • Good English written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to cope well under pressure and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
