As a Desktop Support Engineer , you will work as a part of the Desktop Services team involved with providing advanced technical support and issue resolution to internal and external customers, which may include users of all types and skill levels. Responsibilities may also include security access processing, ID tracking, maintenance of reporting logs, password reset assistance, PC hardware/software inventory checks and stocking of spare parts as well as more advanced troubleshooting and support. Duties include (but not limited to) the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for best practices support of Desktop Engineering by providing consultation and support on complex projects and/or issues, investigating issues and underlying causes to provide solutions to recover or continue operations
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktop, laptop, and tablet devices
  • Prioritize workload based on service level agreements
  • Use remote control tool to assist end users when needed
  • Assist in maintenance of system technical documentation, including communications, hardware and software inventory, user account information in addition to incidents and service requests worked within ticket tracking system
  • Demonstrate a depth and breadth of knowledge/skills in own area and is often able to apply these outside of own function
  • Act as a technical resource to others to resolve problems, errors, or other related issues as well as a technical liaison between end users and vendors
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively identifies solutions
  • Plan, prioritize, organize and complete work to meet established objectives
  • This role is onsite in North Richland Hills, TX (DFW area) and requires about 15% local travel

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) OR 5+ years of equivalent direct Technology Support experience
  • 5+ years of high-level experience with PC operating systems including Windows 10, Microsoft Office, remote support applications and group administration of Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
  • 5+ years of strong customer service experience in a technical setting
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting convoluted issues with Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016, Office 365, Microsoft 365 apps for Enterprise
  • 3+ years of experience with knowledge of principles of computing and/or communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in a distributed environment
  • 6+ months of experience with basic RICOH Printer & Copier installation and troubleshooting support
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of computers or other IT equipment
  • Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time within the DFW area to provide IT desktop support to assigned sites and clinics
