Catholic Charities operates 18 community centers and ten homeless shelters and also serves the poor with multi-faceted programs, including: after-school child care; immigration, refugee, youth employment and psychological services; homework assistance and tutoring; English as a Second Language (ESL) and General Education diploma (GED) classes for adults; and services for homebound seniors and pregnant and parenting youth. In this way, Catholic Charities maintains a continuum of care for clients as they move from vulnerability to self-sufficiency.
The Catholic Charities corporate office is seeking an experienced, dedicated, ambitious Development Database Manager that will be responsible for a full range of tasks associated with operating the Development and Communication Department’s Raiser’s Edge NXT database, assisting with Direct Mail, Special Events and other department projects. The Development Manager will report to the Chief Development and Communications Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Development and Communications Officer (CDO) in developing an overall database fundraising strategy.
- Work cooperatively with CDO, following established database fundraising policies and processes.
- Work with Development and Communications Department staff to ensure that all are engaged in and supporting database fundraising activities.
- Monitor the department’s direct mail income and expense goals. Prepare monthly reports for CDO.
- Work with CDO and Development and Communications Department staff to ensure that all gifts are properly recorded, deposited and acknowledged in a timely fashion.
- Operate Raiser’s Edge NXT donor database to post donations, prepare reports, and produce mailing lists for appeals and other mailings.
- Coordinate all activities of the Joyful Givers' (Pledge) Program, including monthly reporting and maintenance of a list of current active donors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Three to five years’ of related experience in development and fundraising,
- Experience in a non-profit management role
- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Proficiency in online databases for funding-related research
- Ability to understand the basic fundraising principals and best practices
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidential
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Raiser’s Edge NXT software system and database
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,962.00 per year
