BGC Capital Partners is seeking a technically strong, motivated Dev Ops Engineer with 5+ years of work experience to be a part of a team building a Next Generation Low Latency Trading Platform.
The role entails architect, monitor, and maintain the application infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, implement automation of various aspects of the platform.
Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain the various application and its related services
• Deploy and maintain the CI/CD pipelines across various facets of the application
• Build and deploy automation, monitoring and analytic solutions
• Implement best practices for configuration management
• Interface with the Engineering and Infrastructure team to set up the Application related hardware, network etc
• Interface with the Architecture team to maintain containers and other Virtual Machine infrastructure
• Manage Linux baremetal and virtual environments

Skills

• Experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems ( eg. Java, Spring, React JS etc )
• A drive towards automating repetitive tasks using scripting, python etc
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes Clustering
• Version control system experience ( eg. Git )
• Experience implementing CI/CD ( eg. Gitlab, Jenkins etc )
• Operational ( HA/Backups ) SQL experience ( PG, Redis etc )
• Experience with configuration/Infrastructure-as-Code management tools ( eg. Ansible )
• Understanding of basic System Administration in Linux Environments
• Understanding of basic Network Administration
• Familiarity with some Opensource Monitoring platforms and its implementations ( Prometheus. Grafana, Nagios, Dataetc etc )
• Handling set up and certifications over FIX is considered a big plus
