GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs all duties necessary to provide exceptional customer focused service in the retail food service areas. Assists in the preparation, portioning, service and monitoring of food and beverages. Maintains standards of food safety and sanitation. Recognizes and reports variances to leadership. Provides excellent patient and family centered care and services as it relates to the Beaumont Standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Sets up, stocks and prepares assigned station for service.
2. Serves food and beverages to established standards using safe food handling practices.
3. Replenishes stock and maintains safety and sanitation of assigned areas.
4. Monitors temperatures, self-service areas and product volumes as assigned.
5. Busses dirty dishes, maintains condiment stand and dining areas as assigned.
6. Provides excellent customer service. Attentive to special needs of customers. Interacts in a respectful manner.
7. Identifies and communicates opportunities for waste reduction, service improvements and/or revenue enhancement to leadership per established guidelines.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education / Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
B. Work Experience:
- Food service experience, preferred.
