We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a part-time Digital Content Contributor within our Marketing and Creative team to help support our Corporate business. As a Digital Content Contributor you will have the opportunity to serve the overall company in advertising, digital marketing, content creation and more. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by using analysis for continuous improvement. The team you will be working with is hard-working and collaborative, and values the process of understanding brand voices and procedures in place.

So, what will you be doing as a Digital Content Contributor?

  • Using Business Unit Overview listings, review competitor and customer social communications/websites to determine use practices for each business unit to communicate via social channels within their respective industries.
  • Use digital “voice” for unit based on research compiled.
  • Assist in research and development of any hybrid/virtual opportunities as requested by project management.
  • Assist with platform exploration and testing as needed.
  • Further develop marketing content calendars (social channel-based) for assigned channels.
  • Attend brainstorm sessions for relevant social channels and take notes with the intention of developing rough draft posts/graphics (via Canva) that meet brand standards for each group.
  • Maintain daily volume of social content for review and editing by team.
  • Follow development and proofing processes established by team.
  • Maintain record of required approvals for post content.
  • Evaluate metrics of and identify successes/failures for continuous improvement of channels.
  • Help with the collection and analyzation of business unit data and assist in the development of communications to analyze digital marketing successes/failures as requested.
  • Maintain weekly progress communications with manager, director, or another leader as requested.


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Education and/or certificate through industry organization in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Familiarity with social media channels and audiences, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter, as well as others
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Agorapulse)
  • Good screen presence and communication/presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail with well-honed organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good understanding of marketing concepts and principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to get things done
