JOB SUMMARY:

• The Digital Content Studio (DCS) Talent/Producer is responsible for all facets of digital project production, including writing, editing, and reporting for Buckeye Broadband’s flagship digicast, as well as the DCS digital and social media platforms.
• From aggregating, stacking, writing, producing, and distributing a daily 20-minute digicast to enterprising and producing feature storytelling for multi-platforms, the DCS Talent/Producer is a proven self-starter and team player who thrives in the high-energy, fast paced culture of digital journalism.
• An experienced storyteller, producer and anchor, the DCS Producer is tasked with all facets of managing the concept-to-completion news-gathering process.
• The Digital Studio Content Talent/Producer reports to the BCSN Market Manager.
• There are no direct reports for this position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Digital Studio Content Talent/Producer is accountable for the following functions for Buckeye Broadband:

• Executing the M-F digicasts including aggregating, developing, producing and distributing the relevant digital, social media and cablecast assets required for digital projects and social media engagement including linear and digital platforms as well as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat applications;
• Using studio, production and editing equipment to make skilled edits to content segments, creative videos, and in-house promotions for the digital studio, Buckeye Broadband and BCSN;
• Using creativity to write and coordinate scripts and creative graphics for videos used for digicasts and social media content;
• Contributing to the Buckeye Broadband content team that ensures adherence to quality cablecast, digital and social media standards, deadlines, and proper procedures;
• Contributing to the production of various Buckeye Broadband and BCSN digital materials created by the content work group;
• Collaborating with the creative team to take digicast projects from concept to final execution within established deadlines;
• Participating in community outreach and promotional activities sponsored by the company;
• Maintaining an expert working knowledge of all production and postproduction resources including studios, cameras, lighting, audio, editing systems and graphic programs;
• Following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines and safety, at all times;
• Performing any miscellaneous duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Communications or other relevant field - Required
• 2 Years of experience producing, editing and feature story writing – Required
• 2 Years of experience working in news/sports environment – Required
• Experience with Newsroom Production Systems like ENPS or iNews – Preferred
• Working Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and codecs for web video – Preferred
