The Digital Health Staff Writer is responsible for producing editorial and custom content designed to educate and inform our expanding B2B audience. This position researches and writes content on a variety of healthcare information technology topics such as digital transformation, interoperability, cloud agility and client care.
Duties and responsibilities
- Serve as the primary writer for editorial and custom content produced by Digital Health Insights
- Produce weekly editorial articles that put news and developments into context for our readers
- Create and develop custom content (NOT advertorials) as needed, including white papers, reports, webinars, podcasts and similar content pieces
- Coordinate and/or edit industry thought leadership content as needed for strategic distribution across various channels such as blogs, articles, white papers, case studies, press releases, and more
- Coordinate subject matter expert content creation and subsequent translation of content into various deliverables across multiple platforms
- Monitor analytics, reports, results and areas of risk or improvement related to content publication and distribution
- Stay current on organizational SEO strategy, content/industry trends, and digital media best practices to increase digital traffic and engagement
- Monitor and identify member and industry interests and gaps in our content and recommend appropriate content themes
- Stay up to date on news and trends in the healthcare information technology field
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Media, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field preferred
- Writing accurate and compelling copy
- 3+ years of writing experience in a similar B2B media environment or content marketing agency
- Strong knowledge of technology and healthcare
- Ability to work independently and deliver assignments on deadline
- Knowledge of current SEO practices
- Social media savvy
- Smart and perceptive
- Ability to take initiative
- High EQ and good with people
- Clear communicator
- Experience moderating podcasts, video and webcasts
- Experience with applications such as WordPress and Hubspot (or similar)
- More than 1 year successfully working in a remote or telecommuting role
- Ability to write copy for professional documents, presentations, proposals, scripts and other communication materials for diverse internal and external customers
- Ability to comprehend complex and technical information and articulate the information into readable deliverables for diverse audiences and platforms
