The Digital Navigator is an important member of the Neighborhood Planning and Engagement team whose work on connecting residents to empowering resources is key to our mission. Essential Functions
Assess resident access to technology, current digital skill level, connectivity needs, and internet use priorities
Establish individual plans in collaboration with residents to help them become effective digital citizens.
Advise residents about available broadband service options, assist with the application for service, and support their efforts to secure service.
Create opportunities to connect with, engage and train residents in various locations within the Buckeye, Central, and Kinsman neighborhoods.
Advise residents about available affordable computers or other internet connected devices and support their efforts to apply for device distribution programs or device repair services.
Coach residents in the use of home internet services. This may include both in person, phone, and online interactions, as well as referral to sources of additional digital literacy skill training.
Track each resident’s progress and types of requests, keep accurate and timely records, and report outcomes.
