The Full-Time Float Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver provides in-home care within the Portland, Oregon area and will provide full-time staffing support for open and/or temporary positions, as needed, to support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Schedule flexibility is required as shifts change. This position requires a dependable candidate that is available to work a flexible schedule, works well independently and has exceptional communication and decision-making skills. Float DSP's are adaptable and will have the necessary skill set to be able to work at multiple community-based residential homes.

What You’ll Do

• Full-time, guaranteed 32-40 hours per week.
• Provide client care in a float capacity for schedules, emergencies, or fill-in assignments at designated residential homes. Flexibility is a MUST.
• Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Provide companionship and personalized care with respect and dignity while encouraging independence and self-care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Light household duties.
• Assist with daily living activities
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices.
• Community activities and outings
• Implementing positive behavior supports
• Other duties as assigned

Successful candidates will be required to meet all Oregon State Department of Human Services requirements.
