As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

· Help program participants achieve/exceed their personal goals.

· Provide structure and emotional support.

· Assist in resolving behavioral issues.

· Help people supported with personal hygiene.

· Complete detailed, accurate documentation.

· Transport participants to and from medical appointments and recreation activities using Agency vehicles.

We require:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Clean and valid NYS Driver’s License
• Experience working with I/DD population, preferred. We will train you!
• Cooking and light housekeeping may be required.
• Experience as a Caregiver, Care Assistant, Resident Assistant, Direct Care Workers, Nursing Assistant, Home Care Aide or Companion a plus.
• Obtain and maintain required trainings in AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) and SCIP (Strategies for Crises Intervention and Prevention); complete within 6 months of hire
