About the Role
Veho is growing and we are searching for a Director of Accounting to join our team! A role on the accounting team calls on your skills for quality financial and operational reporting, data analytics, accurate financials while providing thoughtful and responsive support, expertise and guidance to internal and external business partners. Your role will be critical to ensuring the success of Veho’s business initiatives and core operations. You will have the opportunity to work for a competitive, fast-paced and innovative company. Your work will drive outstanding financial results by enabling and accelerating Veho’s strategy. You will get experience working with a cross-disciplinary team shipping real-world products to our customers around the nation. You will also receive hands-on mentorship from your teammates.
Responsibilities Include:
- Take part in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process
- Assist with improving, developing, documenting, and implementing accounting and finance related policies and procedures to support the company’s scale
- Manage and comply with government reporting requirements, statutory financial statements, and tax filings
- Oversee and manage activities of accountants, including general accounting, A/P, and tax compliance functions
- Support and assist with internal reports and reconciliations
- Drive monthly close process including preparation of financial statements, consolidations, foreign currency, segment reporting, flux analytics and KPI metrics to support internal and external reporting needs
- Develop and execute deliverables, and manage the external auditors and other professional service providers as needed
- Work with external auditors
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience
- B.A. or B.S. Degree in Finance/Accounting
- Previous experience in public accounting preferred but not required
- Well-organized, can prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Previous demonstration of using data-driven problem-solving skills to solve challenges and implement solutions
- Strong understanding of accounting best practices with the ability to build scalable processes in an early stage, evolving company
- Team player, strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CPA is nice to have
- High emotional intelligence, ability to build and sustain relationships at multiple levels within and outside of finance
- Passionate and persistent about operational excellence

- The starting salary for this role is $160,000. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: education, experience, and skills. The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company.
