Responsible for providing overall direction for the Hospital Foundation. Works closely with executive staff to create and implement comprehensive policies and programs related to fund development for McLaren Port Huron. Assures compliance with regulatory and other agency requirements, laws and statues pertaining to the operation of the hospital Foundation. Prepares and administers Foundation budgets. Responsible for the department’s quality improvement program. Meets and consults with system leader to promote standardization across the system.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Plans and administers directly, the effective management and delivery of fund development services.
- Directs and coordinates activities to insure that services/operations are provided on schedule with quality and cost objectives and in alignment with the strategic plan/goals.
- Ensures that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and governmental regulations and laws.
- Establishes organization plan and delegates responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities as appropriate.
- Ensures quality, financial, and customer service objectives are met.
- Develops, secures approval of and administers capital and operating budgets in order to meet agreed-upon departmental goals and objectives. Develops and implements appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances.
- Improves function and reliability of systems and processes by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with legal codes and regulations.
- Stays current on knowledge of technology and state and federal regulations.
- Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
- Five years of marketing and/or fund development experience including at least three years in a leadership role.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree.
