You will be reporting to our Managing Director, Strategic Operations – Air Cooled Applications, you will be the key architect of the Global Materials Planning Strategy for Air Cooled Applications in Performance Technologies and Modine. The main objective of your role will be to to drive performance and profitability in our Global Air Cooled Applications business unit by fully developing and building out the strategy, team, and guiding processes/principles for materials management. The main functions are as follow:

• Strategic objective – Business partnerships

o Work with our executive staff and business unit leaders to establish an end-to-end strategy for long term planning of business performance and operational execution, ensuring customer delivery and plant operational performance.

• Tactical objective – Deployment/Implementation

o Working with our business unit leaders, vertical operations leaders, factories, sales, applications engineering and finance to build, deploy and drive a global SIOP process for Air Cooled Applications.

• Build out the process for hiring, developing and certifying a world class materials planning, demand planning and SIOP team to support the execution of the long term vertical operations strategy.
• Create the team to implement Demand Planning for the global Air Cooled Applications business vertical.
• Develop the Supply Planning team that will drive optimized inventory and material flows to enable plant performance.
• Integrate with the CI Teams to drive material flow excellence at the factories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning Excellence – Responsible for creating a structured planning, training, and organizational development process to enhance the skills and abilities of factory performance.
• Inventory Strategy – Create an end-to-end inventory management strategy (Raw/WIP/FG) and network optimization process that uses customer demand data as the basis of the analysis utilizing data and industry standard PFEP processes.
• Demand Planning Excellence – Develop a team and create a holistic Demand management process for Air Cooled Applications.
• SIOP Leadership – take the overall responsibility of SIOP for Air Cooled Applications including the development and deployment of a holistic, Global ( Portfolio/Demand Mgt/Supply Mgt) process for all 3 Business Units. This includes the overall development of a SIOP process.

o Team creation and development

o Training Materials / Development process / deployment actions

o Meeting structure and content

o Standardization and integration

• Centralized planning - Develop the strategy and then deploy a small centralize organization (relieving some planning responsibilities from factories with overlapping suppliers) and have it planned centrally and managed centrally for:

o Multi-site supplied

o Long lead time – International

o Historical Poor Performance

o Capacity Constraint suppliers

• Operations Master Data Management Standards – collaborate with divisions, sourcing, IT, etc. to dissect SAP and determine critical master data fields and keep those up to date and clean for improved planning performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years' experience leading Materials Planning/Demand Planning/SIOP in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ yrs of direct leadership experience in both hourly and salaried workforces.
• Demonstrated application and experience in multiple disciplines in the following categories:

o Materials Planning / PFEP

o Production Control

o Tactical Purchasing

o Inventory Control

o Demand Planning

o Master Data Management

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Comfort with extensive presentation and information data management skills.
• The ability to draw on previous experience to teach and mentor teams across the globe.
• Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• APICS / CPIM or other industry standard Materials process certifications.
• Manage materials planning or inventory management.
• 5+ yrs of direct leadership experience in both hourly and salaried workforces.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Lean development and implementation.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, process management, engineering or operations.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.

TRAVEL:

50% of the time including international/Intercontinental, but work from home if not based at one of the plant locations in Air Cooled Applications.
