The Greater San Antonio Texas eight county region represents the diverse and growing demographic future of Texas and the U.S. greater:SATX is the regional partnership leading San Antonio’s transformative economic growth through business recruitment, business retention & expansion, and workforce development. Supported by 170 private sector investors and the City of San Antonio, Bexar County, CPS Energy, SAWS, the organization is responsible for assisting over 500 companies relocate or expand in the region that collectively employ more than 120,000 San Antonians.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Integrated Communications partners with the Workforce Team to develop and execute their communications strategies. Serving as liaison among the Workforce Team (SA WORX), the Brand & Communication Team and outside vendor partners, this role is responsible for the development of all internal and external Workforce communications, as well as the execution of all Workforce related creative content and campaign plans. Also responsible for idea generation, communications strategy and ideation, and creative ideation in collaboration with the Workforce team. This function may also assist with Enterprise-related efforts on an as needed basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Guide the development of all Project Charters for Workforce team projects, align and approve briefs prior to project executions and manage the day-to-day development of the communication tactics for Workforce events, media needs, print and digital creative assets development. This may include the development of bilingual communications.
- Project management tracking from onset to completion for both internal and external projects, including the Workforce portion of the Brand & Communications Team weekly status reports and all Workforce projects in PM tool, Monday.com.
- Collaborate on the strategic development and tactical ideation for Workforce Development activity as it relates to Brand & Communications.
- Manage all Workforce projects through our creative agency partner and vendors, ensuring all projects are on-strategy, on-budget and on-time.
- Identify video content opportunities and deliver them through our social channels and website.
- Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working relationship within the internal team and with external parties rooted in mutual respect, clear responsibilities and agreed upon expectations.
- Support communication tactics and speaker preparation for events and press conferences.
- Responsible for drafting and delivering post-mortems for all key events.
- Work closely with Workforce Team to understand, inform, and adhere to grant requirements.
- Collaborate with the Communication Teams and varying levels of internal/external parties including C-level executives and elected officials.
- Apt at crafting written communications that are concise, clear and engaging.
- Build and foster relationships with local, regional, and national media to promote greater:SATX and SA WORX.
- Work with Brand & Communications team to contribute ideas, items, and edits to content calendar.
- Constantly seek ways to improve greater:SATX and SA WORX influence and reach among partners, employers, educators, and trainers.
- Maintain the brand and reputation of SA WORX.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- 5-7 years’ experience in a Public Relations, Advertising agency or in a Communications Manager function at a for profit or non-profit.
- Ability to multi-task, managing multiple marketing and communications programs at once.
- Presentation development and delivery experience.
- Experience in creating actionable operations and tactical plans from corporate/enterprise-level strategies.
- Cross-function/enterprise communication experience.
- Writing samples of press releases, newsletter articles and a presentation are strongly preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient MS Office, experience with Monday.com or other project management tools preferred.

Other Requirements: Assist and/or participate in travel as needed. Valid Texas driver license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a flexible work environment which includes both in-office attendance and the ability to work from home as business needs allow. Work is performed primarily indoors and sedentary. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, and multi-functioning printer. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events as needed. After hours work/travel may be required for business-related events.
