POSITION SUMMARY
The Director, Medicare Sales is responsible for assisting in researching, developing, coordinating, directing, supporting, and executing FitOn Health's Medicare Growth development strategy. This position leverages industry and market insight to provide direction and guidance to FitOn Health's in developing strategically aligned initiatives and sound strategies for business development and optimization. The Director, Medicare Sales possesses a strong understanding of the healthcare marketplace and the challenges faced across Medicare lines of business, this sales leader will identify and secure new partnerships with various players in the space. This person must be a credible leader and will possess the knowledge and sales skills to engage with clinical and business executives at health plans, providers, and ACOs. The Director, Medicare Sales will have a proven track record of strong presentation and public speaking experience and will be passionate about FitOn Health's mission of providing high-quality, cost-effective healthcare outcomes at scale. This person must have extensive experience working specifically with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association in the Medicare Advantage space.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the leadership team and key contributors to launch, grow and enhance programs to meet the organization’s vision and strategic goals.
- Manage the entire sales process in order to meet or exceed quarterly and annual company sales goals.
- Demonstrated ability to craft, present and win proposals.
- Support and drive RFP’s for health plans and providers, building on FitOn Health's strong repository and success with RFP’s
- Generate new business and sales leads through a mixture of lead generation, networking, marketing campaign follow-up, and inbound inquiries
- Present to and manage relationships with senior management at major health plans to secure new business
- Identify, evaluate, solicit, and follow-up with business development opportunities through multiple sales, communications, and marketing methods.
- Achieve personal and company revenue targets by identifying and closing new business partnerships
- Support FitOn Health's value-based reimbursement strategy, evolving our fee-for-outcomes based model
- Ensure the organization stays current with market trends, anticipates market needs, proactively facilitates development of programs to maximize business growth opportunities and advises executive leadership of potential impact to the organization’s overall strategy and financial forecasts.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of all FitOn Health's offerings in both the Commercial and Medicare space
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key leaders and team members to ensure initiatives and strategies are implemented and yield positive results.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- 6-8 years of demonstrated, proven success in a senior sales role; experience in a high growth company is preferred
- Experience working directly for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Medicare Advantage
- Experience and understanding of the Medicare payer lines of business.
- Proven track record of selling products into Medicare Advantage plans
- History of executing complex deals throughout the healthcare marketplace for a range of client
- Selling into West Coast based Medicare Advantage plans a huge plus
- Proficient understanding of reporting capabilities and sales software systems, such as Hubspot
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) including sales pitches and public presentations to larger audiences
- Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data and information while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing, startup environment
