Robson Ranch Arizona located in Eloy AZ is looking for a fun, organized, and energetic Director of Banquets, Events, and Catering.

PURPOSE OF POSITION /SUMMARY

The position manages the Banquet and Catering department for community activities and recreational events which include ensuring events operate as planned and to the level of expectation of the HOA and Food & Beverage Director. The primary duties of this position is to generate revenue from HOA and external sources and to oversee and coordinate room bookings, assist where needed in member functions and trips, concerts, food service in Banquets and Catering Events. Hires and manages banquets staff, coffee shop staff which may include training and developing policies associated with the department. Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints. Review and Monitor budget to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations. Performs other job duties as assigned.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Promotion of Banquets and Catering offerings through community involvement, direct in person and telephone marketing, magazine ads, bridal shows, newspapers and websites. Tracking, reporting and making recommendations where marketing efforts are successful or not. Following up on all events with a minimum of thank you cards and closing notes for event files.
  • Work with internal and external clients on planning Food and Beverage events from start to finish. Execute all events and ensure all details are in order as planned on Function Sheets. Maintain Files on all events from start to wrap up. Coordinate events with all QC staff involved including other departments. Perform all event reconciliations through IBS and company expectations. Ensure all reasonable guest requests are accommodated. Submit ideas on improvements for all events.
  • Organize, manage and direct employees and training programs for efficient service. Will schedule employees according to the needs of the event and manage the staff at the functions regularly. Will be expected to resolve personnel issues.
  • Coordinates with the Activities Director Bookings of all rooms and Food & Beverage needs for all Quail Creek Events and Activities
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food, service and accommodations.
  • Monitors payroll and employee hours by daily audit to stay within budgeted labor percentages. Will process all necessary payroll and Human Resources related paperwork including timecards, pay rate changes, new hires and terminations.
  • Proposes, Monitors Annual Banquets Budget and Reviews financial statements to ensure expenditures are authorized and budgeted.
  • Manages and reports Madera Clubhouse building maintenance issues, performs monthly walk through with our Director of Building Maintenance, Ensures all equipment is in proper working order, notify proper department or work with outside contractors to resolve issues.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ Years Experience in Event Management
  • AZ Liquor Law Training/Management Courses
  • Office Tracker, Excel, Word,
  • Knowledge of Budgets and Budgetary Process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
