In this position not only will you have the opportunity to build out this department but you will also have the option of receiving equity after your first 6 months in the position. We want whomever we hire in this role to have ownership in our business and ownership in the direction they take our Business Development department!
Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 USD + bonus + equity after 6 months
Job Location: New York City or Surrounding Area - Fully Remote
Envision Horizons is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to join our team! As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for developing strategic relationships with complimentary businesses and closing strategic accounts. This is an excellent position for someone that thrives when networking and connecting with people. In addition to developing strategic relationships, you will also be implementing new business initiatives to drive an ROI to the partnerships and collaborating with our internal client services and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow partnerships across multiple industries such as private equity, public relations, affiliate marketers and more.
- Present proposals to clients and partners to close new business contracts.
- Identify conferences to attend or sponsor and tie them back to revenue opportunities.
- Create and develop affiliate and referral programs.
Qualifications
- Located in New York City or the surrounding area
- 3-5 years in a sales or business development position
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience
- Excellent communication skills and are excited about the prospect of connecting with new groups of people
- Experience managing and setting up a CRM (salesforce, pipedrive, hubspot or other)
- A love for ecommerce - we talk and live ecommerce all day, every day!
- Superior analytical, organizational and time management skills; you must thrive working on multiple projects at once
- Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity
