The Arc Montgomery County has an exciting and rewarding position for a Director of Children & Youth Services. The Director of Children & Youth Services is responsible for planning, managing, supervising and evaluating services for children and youth as well as advocacy for children and youth with disabilities and their families. Responsibilities include policy and procedure implementation, program development, facility management, training and supervision, budget development/monitoring, and other management-related activities. The Director of Children & Youth Services must keep abreast of best practices in education and childcare and participate in committees on a local and state level to develop and maintain community partnerships. The Director of Children & Youth Services must ensure that programs and supports are consistent with the agency’s mission and philosophy.
Master’s degree or master's equivalency in Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education or other related field plus five years of relevant professional experience (four of which must be at a supervisory level) OR Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education or other related field plus seven years of relevant professional experience (six of which must be at a supervisory level). MSDE Office of Child Care licensure as a Director or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.
The Arc Montgomery County requires all employees to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
$81,811 - $85,952 depending on education and experience.
