SUMMARY
The Director of Government Pricing provides pricing strategy and guidance for estimating and pricing a wide range of government proposals. Activities include developing and assessing pricing targets, estimates, risk mitigation and related business strategies, and leading the team in producing competitive and compliant pricing information. This role is a key contributor in the proposal process and leads the Pricing team in compiling, analyzing and submitting pricing information. The Director of Government Pricing will lead financial analysis such as profitability, multiple scenario, and overall analysis of the competitive environment as appropriate for each proposal. In addition, this role ensures compliance with AAR’s estimating system and recommends process improvements as part of a continuous improvement perspective.**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the development, implementation, and follow-up of AAR Integrated Solutions – Government pricing strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AAR submits successful and compliant proposals
  • Directs all aspects of the analysis and submission of government pricing, including overseeing the compilation of costs in a manner that is compliant with AAR’s estimating system and the applicable acquisition regulations
  • Drives the development of leading-edge government proposal practices and tools within the pricing team
  • Assist with developing best practices for team-wide policies and processes, including analyses for cost estimating, price points, competitiveness, solicitations, risk, tradeoffs, and optimization
  • Coordinates and Performs financial analysis appropriate to the size, magnitude and risk associated with proposals in order to enable Management decisions
  • Serves as the internal “owner” of the estimating system policies and procedures.
  • Support and counsel key stakeholders by identifying, modeling and analyzing risks and opportunities relative to government pricing as it relates to potential company initiatives, strategies, and tactics
  • Provide documentation, analysis and expertise in support of proposal and pricing audit requests, as well as other cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrate compliance, company values and required competencies on a consistent basis.
  • All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the pricing team in coordinating the costing and pricing activities on government proposals

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Ability to travel approximately up to 25%

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting
  • MBA, CPA or Advanced degree, preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a government contracting environment
  • 5+ years of experience in government pricing

Primary Location: It is preferred to have this position based in Wood Dale, IL or Rockledge, FL. However, this position is approved to work remote in the United States.
