The successful candidate will have advanced experience in the following areas: organizational planning and development, recruitment, employee training and relations, compensation, benefits, employee services, and health and safety.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Formulates and recommends HR policies and objectives for the entire company.
- Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote employee morale.
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions (e.g., OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage and Hour).
- Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance, approving information submitted, and acting as the primary contact with labor counsel and outside government agencies.
- Protects interests of employees and the company in accordance with company HR policies and governmental laws and regulations by handling employee relations, counseling, and exit interviewing.
- Establishes wage and salary structure, pay policies, performance appraisal programs, employee benefit programs and services, and company safety and health programs; monitoring for effectiveness and cost containments.
- Establishes standard recruiting and placement practices and procedures, reviews variances to schedules and assists by interviewing executive-level candidates.
- Establishes in-house management training programs that address company needs across division lines (e.g., Leadership, Performance Appraisal, and Interviewing).
- Defines all HR programs, and authority/responsibility of HR and management within those programs, providing necessary education and materials to management and employees-workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, standardized reports.
- Oversees implementation of programs through HR staff, monitoring administration, identifying opportunities to improve, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Directs the preparation and maintenance of various reports to carry out functions of department. Prepares periodic reports to top management, as necessary or requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources
- 7+ years of Human Resource Management along with coaching/supervisory experience
- Desire to lead and grow with a busy HR Department
- Solid HR administration, record keeping, and investigative skills
- Committed to HR best practices with an advanced understanding of employee life cycle management
- Excellent communication skills along with the ability to multitask and work with different teams
