Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys is seeking a Director of Information Technology & Systems with ten (10) years of experience, at least 18 months of which in a managerial capacity in the areas of computer applications programming, systems programming, information systems development, data telecommunications, database administration or a closely related area.

The Director of Information Technology & Systems must communicate effectively at all levels of the Firm. Candidates must be naturally collaborative and have experience working in a collaborative environment. They must also be an effective leader and mentor to all staff in the IT area. The successful candidate will have experience developing and implementing major IT changes firm-wide.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Bachelor's degree: Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience leveraging ITIL best practices
• Experience managing an enterprise Microsoft computing environment
• Experience managing an enterprise VMware infrastructure
• Experience managing cloud-computing environments (AWS/Azure)
• Experience managing, designing, and implementing enterprise business continuity solutions
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, and technical consultants
• Experience managing IT change management procedures in an enterprise environment
• Experience using and managing IT incident and problem management solutions
• Understanding of multi-site network topologies and design

Preferred: Master's degree in computer science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for an additional year of general information systems technology experience.

Primary Responsibilities

The Director of Information Technology & Systems is responsible for advancing modern software engineering, leading best practices throughout the organization, designing, implementing, and supporting the network infrastructure, applications, and all other related technologies (physical, virtual, and cloud) throughout the organization. The role is highly hands-on, and you will be expected to provide guidance and serve as the subject matter expert and architect to all aspects of the network domain, with the ability to assist in design and configurations regularly. Knowledge and experience with the following systems are preferred:

• Virtualization – VMware vSphere 6 or newer
• Storage (SAN) – Block & File
• Networking - Firewalls, Switching, Wireless, MPLS, SD-WAN
• Public and Private Cloud technologies – Azure, AWS and VMware on AWS
• Data Protection – Backup, BCDR and Replication technologies
• Active Directory – AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO
• Messaging – Exchange (2013 or newer), Office 365, Spam/Content filtering
• Mobile Device Management (MDM) Solutions and Mobile Endpoint Protection
• Automation technologies – SCCM, Powershell, etc.
• Monitoring of all Firm's systems inclusive of virtualization, networking, storage, and systems applications
• Datacenter Operations – Planning and execution of Co-located datacenters.
• Other products that augment or replace the features and functions listed above

Your mission: should you decide to accept it, the Director of Information Technology & Systems is responsible for providing consistent leadership in the Information Technology area of the Firm by supplying management while working hands-on in Information Technology with guidance and training. They are also responsible for focusing on the technical stability and security of the business, maintaining all infrastructure, platforms, applications, and vendor partnerships, ensuring acceptable service levels and security controls, with a strong background in Microsoft technology. The Director of Information Technology & Systems is responsible for directing and coordinating the operation of the entire technology landscape and ecosystem. This includes network, infrastructure, platforms (cloud and on-premises), endpoints, hardware, software, and systems company-wide, ensuring that all policies and procedures are established, evolved, published, and followed, and rectifying any problems which arise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
