The Director of Internal Audit & SOX Compliance reports to the CFO and is responsible for implementing, developing, and providing financial analysis to aid in decision making.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:


  • Lead development of SOX compliant processes and procedures, including creating and updating process narratives and flowcharts.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead internal audit function in performance of annual SOX compliance testing.
  • Lead internal control and business process walkthroughs.
  • Lead annual risk assessment and scoping exercises.
  • Report testing results to department heads and other stakeholders, as needed.
  • Manage SOX team including training and mentorship.
  • Work with consultants and external auditors as needed.
  • Assist with technical accounting analysis, including writing white papers.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:


  • CPA required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and lead through a changing environment.
  • 4+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), PCAOB standards, SEC regulations, and COSO Framework.
  • Accounting or finance degree required.
  • Experience with SEC reporting preferred.
  • Experience with SAP ByDesign preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and Mac OS preferred.

The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $170,000. Actual pay depends on various factors, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
