Brookside Rehabilitation and Wellness; a sub-acute rehabilitation-short stay facility is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse for the Director of Nursing position. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained individual looking to ensure excellent survey results, staff excellence, clinical excellence, customer excellence, and business excellence.
Rate of Pay
$95,000 – $110,000 annually- Salary exempt status position.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for administration of nursing services
- Directs, plans, and coordinates service activities of professional nursing and ancillary nursing personnel
- Interprets policy and regulations to all nursing personnel and ensures compliance
- Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services to ensure quality of care
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene, safety, and infection control (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
- Ability to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Assists with Nurse Manager On-Call rotation/responsibilities.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
- Attends and participates in facility and organization committee meetings
- Monitors, reports, and responds to incidents and accidents as appropriate.
- Assist with the development of the annual nursing budget and monitors expenses throughout the year.
- Ensures availability of adequate and appropriate supplies and equipment
- Complete other duties as assigned
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and infection control guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Current, unencumbered, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience:
- Registered Nurse, 3+ year (Required)
- BSN or MSN
- Acute care, 1+ year (Preferred)
- Long-Term care, 1+ year (Required)
- Management experience 1+ year (Required)
- EMR systems, 1+ year (Required)
