We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Training at our Corporate office in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a full-time exempt position.

The Director of Training is responsible for directing the planning, design, and implementation of the company’s training program. Qualified applicants will have a background in education and training. Travel in this role is required including some overnight stays. Overnight trips could be up to three days or more on occasion.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
• 2-5 years of educational experience.
• Property Management Experience a plus.
• Proficient computer knowledge, including MS Office and Google products.
• Experienced in presenting to large groups.
• Proficient in effectively communicating both verbal and written.

Essential Functions

• Collaborates with functional management teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as effectiveness of established programs.
• Design and develop a program delivery schedule that provides training as needed and in locations that work for the participants.
• Foster a culture of learning by providing engaging communication about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training.
• Assesses performance levels to ensure the employees are adequately trained and learning the desired lessons and skills.
• Approves new training techniques and recommends enhancements to existing training programs.
• Oversees and establishes relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs.
• Manages and develops training professionals.
• Plans, organizes and executes the company’s Annual Training Meeting.
• Strong customer and personal service skills, including needs assessment, evaluation of satisfaction and ensuring quality standards of service.
• Previous experience organizing training and designing educational curriculum preferred.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
