Job description
PRS is looking for a Director of Youth and Family Services. We are in search of a dynamic leader to develop and oversee a brand-new service for youth and their families in the Oakton area. What you'll do:
Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer, the Director of Youth and Family Services will direct and inform the organization's existing and expanding services focused on youth and families. An initial, primary focus will be involved with developing and overseeing the TIP Program (Transition to Independence Process Model). This program is geared towards adolescents and young adults ages 14-29 with emotional/behavioral difficulties using a model similar to an FEP or ACT model in a creative, wrap around service.
The Director of Youth and Family Services administers and supervises programming and staff to:
- Develop an evolving youth program following the TIP model.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, accreditation requirements, CARF standards, contract, and licensure requirements.
- Identify strengths, areas that need improvement and implement changes to improve quality of services and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure organization and contractual targets are met.
- Ensure that staff are adequately trained to meet performance expectations. Manage, develop, and effectively deploy work force to meet objectives, priorities, and performance standards, within available resources. Perform other functions as needed to support the Chief Clinical Officer.
To be considered, you should:
- Progressively responsible experience working with youth with emotional and behavioral difficulties in behavioral health services.
- Demonstrate mastery of evidenced based therapy, including active listening, validation, open ended questions, values clarification, and empathy skills.
- Self-starter: ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and well organized.
Education
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation counseling or related field, with significant work experience.
- Licensed Mental Health professional required. LCSW or LPC
